           CLUB HISTORY

The Port Coquitlam Skating Club was founded in 1969. Based on directives from Skate Canada, and with the volunteer Board of Directors, we are pleased to continue to serve the community's passion for skating in our region with a group of highly talented professional coaches in a welcoming team atmosphere. For over 50 years, we have been a non-profit organization, dedicated to the sport of skating, and fundamental skill development for a wide variety of skating types such as hockey, ringette, speed skating, learn to skate, recreational skating, and of course every aspect of figure skating including competitive, STARSkate, and ice dance.

Today, as in the past 50 years, our mission statement is:

“To provide an enjoyable, and safe skating environment for the community; that promotes fitness, and a life-long interest in the sport of skating”.
